A Cousteau New Year
The song “The Last Good Day Of The Year” by Cousteau is really referring to the end of summer I think but let’s pretend it is about the last day of the year and put it with my New Year’s videos. I love the song and the imagery in this video.
Peter Schiff, the new stock market guru for 2009?
After watching this video I am convinced we all should be paying more attention to the market predictions of Peter Schiff, President of Euro Pacific Capital.
My favorite highlights:
1) At 2:50 Peter talks about home prices and lack of lending standards. The response he gets is priceless.
2) At 3:40 Peter is mocked and laughed at for suggesting home values will decline.
3) At 6:25 the panel says to buy financials including Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, and Goldman at 175. Peter says to stay away from financials at 7:12 and is again mocked and ridiculed.
I won’t name all of the other people in this video that were so wrong, so confident, and so ill-informed, but they should not be allowed at all to talk about markets in the future because they have zero credibility.
In my opinion Schiff has earned the right to discuss the future economy, housing market, and stock market. The others aren’t even qualified to deliver the Wall Street Journal on a paper route.
